A comedic drama that takes place at a Southern Ontarian group home in 1996. Randall, an intelligent but psychologically damaged twelve year old spends his days with the meek late bloomer PJ. When a third boy, Casey, arrives at the home, PJ is intrigued by his rebellious spirit, though Randall suspects that he is trouble. As Casey opens up to PJ, Randall becomes increasingly jealous and suspects Casey of being a bad influence. As PJ’s fourteenth birthday looms, Randall plans to exact a revenge that punishes Casey by putting PJ into danger – but will his conscience prevent his dark side from taking over?

 

With all three characters searching for acceptance and confronting the need to be recognized, the show starts each evening just after the sun sets to uncover the monsters that in the darkness while shedding light on the boys’ stories.
